Frequently Asked Questions
Massage
Are you a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)
I am not currently practicing as an RMT in Valemount. Although I qualified with a 2200-hour Diploma to become an RMT in Alberta and have been practicing for over five years, unfortunately, my qualification is not recognized in BC. During this time, I have consistently attended many educational courses, giving me a wealth of knowledge in different massage techniques. I am very skilled at what I do; however, I am not allowed to call myself an RMT.
What is your style of massage?
My style is primarily therapeutic based, geared towards relieving pain or a particular problem that is stopping you from doing the activities you love. My treatments are targeted at specific problem areas and my goal is to provide a focused massage that addresses your pain points.
If I was to book one treatment with you what would you recommend?
If this is your first time seeing me for pain relief I'd recommend my Rapid NFR and Therapeutic Massage Combo treatment. This is a 60-minute treatment where 45 minutes is a focused therapeutic massage, then you will get dressed and the remaining 15 minutes is for Rapid NFR where you will be guided through active movements while specific pressure is applied.
Do you only offer mobile services?
For the time being, yes. I will bring all the necessary equipment with me, all I need is space to set up my table and for me to be able to move around it.
How much pressure do you use?
As the client, pressure is always your choice and you are always in full control of the massage. I will check in with you regarding pressure throughout the treatment and you can always ask for less or more at any point.
I'm self conscious about _____, what should I do?
We all have areas of our bodies we feel self-conscious about, please don't let this stop you from getting help with your pain relief from me. If you don't want a certain area included in your treatment you can ask me to avoid it. If you prefer to stay clothed that is absolutely no problem. Whatever your concerns, I am here to be supportive and judgement free.
What will happen at my first treatment?
After you book you will be asked to fill out a health history form, please fill this out ahead of your appointment. The time of your appointment is the time I will arrive at your house. You can show me where you would like me to set up (can be a private room or an open space) which takes about 10 minutes. I'll give you privacy to get comfortable on the table and make sure you are ready before I return. Once the treatment is finished I'll give you time to get up and then I'll pack up and take payment.

Payments and Policies
What form of payments do you accept?
For massage, my preferred payment methods are cash, e-transfer, or debit, although I also accept credit cards.
For online coaching, I accept e-transfer, visa debit, or credit cards.
Can I use my massage health benefits for my treatment?
Unfortunately not. Because I am not an RMT in BC, I cannot provide a receipt that allows you to claim the treatment on your additional health benefits from your employer.
What is your cancellation policy?
I operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cannot make your appointment please cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid a charge. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. Until that payment is made you will not be permitted to rebook.
